Las Vegas - Monte Carlo Resort & Casino: "Watchout!"

Worst experience ever! Was charged 8.00 after I got home for what looked like a courtesy bottled water...Charged 59.00 for two phone calls less than 5 minutes to my friend in a neighboring hotel, minutes away. Didn't know this until I got home!

Stayed Oct. 12th - 17th, 2003. Had no problem checking in early 12:30pm. Only complaint is about noisy plumbing. We were on the 19th floor. Our friends were on the 9th floor and they didn't hear plumbing from their neighbours the way we did. Nice pool area. Suggest you bring your own inflatable bed, ring, raft etc. Rentals are 12.00 per day. For those who complained about the high prices; you're in Vegas you have to expect to drop some cash!!!! Highly suggest Emeril's restaurant at MGM. Make reservations well in advance. The gym at Monte Carlo is 1/2 price after 7pm. Best spa in town is definately at Caesar's Palace, have been 5 times.

Las Vegas - Monte Carlo Resort & Casino: "Worth the money spent"

My husand and I stayed at Monte Carlo from October 1st through October 7th and we had a GREAT time. I enjoyed the resort for several reasons: 1. it was definitely less crowded than the other casinos on the strip. 2. The resort is located in the middle of everything. 3. The wave pool was a plus (be sure to get there no later than 10am for the best seats). 4. Check in and out was a breeze. 5. VERY AFFORDABLE.

The rooms are simple and well maintained. I stayed on the 11th floor (non-smoking floor-just one of many offered) and I had a fantastic view of the pool below and the mountains off in the distance.I must admit that as the night gets jumping in Vegas, I wished on a couple nights, that there was a night club inside the Monte Carlo, but with so many options within walking distance, it wasn't a big deal. The huge sports bar inside the Monte Carlo offered wonderful give aways during the Monday night football game, compliments of ESPN.I recommend this resort for travelers that are in need of an escape minus the madness that can sometimes happen at some of the more "20-something" resorts. I would definitely stay at the Monte Carlo again, especially if the price is right!
