Just returned from a wonderful 5 days in Vegas. First two nights stayed at the Venetian thanks to a great rate obtained through our travel agent with the next 3 days at the Mirage (where we have stayed before and quite like). After having read some negative comments on this site about the Venetian I was a bit reluctant but glad we decided to judge for ourselves. Contrary to some previous comments, the check in staff were very customer service oriented and when I asked for a room with a view, we were asked whether we would like to try the Venezia (the new section of the hotel). While the Venezia is a good trek to get to, it is magnificent. The room was amazing and I felt like royalty. Spacious elegance in a beautiful, large suite that cannot compare to any hotel I have ever stayed in. The room was clean, view of the courtyard pool was wonderful and the Venezia was so quiet it was wonderful. We would have stayed but unfortunately we were there during a trade show so the prices sky rocket so we moved to the Mirage. While I like the Mirage the whole ambience is completely different. So if we could afford it again, the Venezia is the place I will most definitely go back to.
A truly wonderful stay!. The Suite with a sunken lounge overlooking the strip and was enormous! It was really beautiful with everything one could ask for. The spacious bathroom/shower/dressing room (with dressing table) was especially welcome. Highly recommended !!
Service, service, service! We stayed in the new Venezia tower, and felt like royalty. They immediately (within 10 minutes) sent an extra bathrobe when requested, gave us a late 1 PM check-out with no hassle, let us check-in at 11:00 am on our arrival date, and even called to make sure our requests had been handled efficiently. What a place! Everyone was friendly, even though it is definitely upscale. Gold, italian marble and tile, cool toiletries, and mirrors everywhere in bathroom; 700 square feet of luxury! Absolutely stunning and perfect! We loved the Grand Luxe cafe (went there after reading reviews on this site...service was fast even at 1:00 am), the slots (they even have pennies and nickels), and just the sheer beauty of the entire place. We really hope to stay here again someday! |
